Use Restore Purchases in Sober while signed into the Apple Account that made the purchase. Apple manages billing, cancellations, refunds, and payment methods.
Sober 2.0 creates no account or cloud copy of your journal. We cannot view, recover, or remotely delete local entries. If an update finds a legacy 1.x Sign in with Apple identity, Delete all Sober data asks for the same Apple Account once and confirms legacy erasure before clearing that credential. Make a user-controlled export before deleting the app or changing devices.
Sober is designed for VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, increased contrast, and reduced motion. If a flow is difficult to use, email the screen name, device model, iOS version, and accessibility setting involved.
Sober is not emergency or crisis support. It does not monitor you, assess risk, or contact anyone on your behalf.
If you may be in immediate danger, call your local emergency number now. In the United States, call or text 988. In Australia, call Lifeline on 13 11 14. Elsewhere, use an official local crisis service.
Stopping heavy alcohol use suddenly can cause serious withdrawal. Read MedlinePlus alcohol withdrawal guidance and seek qualified medical care. Do not use Sober to guide benzodiazepine discontinuation; see the FDA safety communication and speak with a qualified clinician.
A logged slip changes the current continuous stretch. It does not delete the journey, longest stretch, prior entries, or total history. If the entry was accidental, use the edit or undo control.
No. The current app is deliberately local-first and does not send journal content to a Sober server. Use the in-app export and import controls when moving your own record.
An older Sober 1.x version offered Sign in with Apple. If its identity remains in Keychain after an update, Sober requires a fresh confirmation from that same Apple Account and a successful response from sober.keenshift.ai before clearing the credential. Failed or offline requests delete nothing, and no journal content is sent.
No. Support cannot see your app container and no server copy exists. An export you saved through the system share sheet remains under your control.
Manage the subscription in Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting Sober does not cancel an active subscription.
No. Sober is a private journal and educational support tool. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, manage detox, promise continued abstinence, or replace professional care.
